How Do You Live The Dream In Network Marketing
Why is it that I am STILL getting yahoos who send me their ‘link to check out?’ It is so beyond me why there are those who actually think that strategy will build their network marketing business. THIS DOES NOT WORK!
Honestly, I usually will go back to these people and ask how that strategy is working for them. Typically, I get no response except for another message a few days later from the same person to ‘check out my link!’ Even worse, I’ll get another unsolicited email from them in which I quickly hit, ‘SPAM.’ As a reminder, this is NOT the proper way, or is it profession, to build a network marketing business!
Luckily, we live in a time in our profession that there are now tools and systems available to help network marketers learn how to build and brand their businesses professionally! Unfortunately, there are still thousands of networkers who will ignore this and continue to spam unsuspecting victims and will quickly become one of the 97% of failures in our profession! That said, there are a select few, still only 3% that will succeed in our profession because they dig deep and find those very tools! THOSE are the ones that have will have a glimmer of hope at finding success in this profession.
As I first started to build a network marketing business, I went about it the traditional way. I first went to my warm market and didn’t have much success. There were two key components that changed everything!
1. I found a system that taught me everything I needed to know to market and brand myself online. I started to attract qualified prospects who were looking for ME as opposed to me looking for THEM!
#2 – Live events – Company and generic training events kept me learning about my profession and kept me on top of the things that were working and that I needed to implement immediately. Learning from industry experts is the ONLY way to build the knowledge needed to build a multi-million dollar business. Do you think Donald Trump made his fortune by ‘winging it?’ Heck no! He earned a fortune by building a business in an area where he became an expert by learning and doing!
People will continue to use excuses like ‘I don’t have the money or time to attend trainings.’ That’s crap. Those who want it badly enough and BELIEVE they will make it find a way. They drive cross-country, they sleep in their car because they can’t afford airfare or hotels, but know they need to be at events. They get themselves there, they learn and they move forward. Come hell or high water, they get there. Why? Because they WANT it! They realize that to earn more, then need to learn more!
There is an event taking place in Las Vegas in October 2010 that EVERY network marketer must attend. It’s being hosted by My Lead System Pro and whether your are a member or not, you need to be there. Now, if you are sending me emails telling me to ‘check out your link…,’ YOU need to be there more than anyone! Please, I beg you! This is a generic training so it makes no difference what company you are with. Just get there!
Attending live events has saved my career! Keep in mind that the most powerful business relationships have started from meeting at live events. Some of the biggest ‘a-ha’ moments have happened at live events that have changed the direction of many businesses. Getting there or not will be the great divide between the good and the great! My team will be there. My hope is that I can encourage others to be there and learn the missing link they need to be an industry top earner. Will it be you?
